Custodian / Cleaner

Position Summary

AIM World Services is seeking 60 Custodians/Cleaners to support operations at a migrant processing and housing facility in El Paso, Texas. These positions are contingent upon AIM World Services being awarded the contract. The Custodian/Cleaner will maintain clean, sanitary, and safe residential, administrative, and common-use areas while supporting daily facility operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, showers, sleeping quarters, offices, dining facilities, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors using appropriate equipment.
• Dust and disinfect furniture, fixtures, walls, windows, and high-touch surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners.
• Restock restroom and cleaning supplies.
• Clean kitchens, break rooms, and food service areas.
• Maintain outdoor walkways and entrances free of debris.
• Report maintenance issues and safety hazards.
• Use and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with OSHA and company procedures.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, buffers, and pressure washers.
• Support deep-cleaning and emergency cleaning requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass required pre-employment screenings, if applicable.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Work Schedule

Full-time positions. Day, evening, weekend, holiday, and overtime shifts may be required based on operational needs.

• Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) with authorization to work in the United States.
