Custodian - Cat3

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is looking for a qualified Custodian CAT3 to support our contract with Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) in Kekaha, Hawai'i. This is a part time job opportunity.

Under the general direction of the Supervisor or Lead-person, performs general custodial functions cleaning, shampooing, waxing floors and cleaning office areas, restrooms and work areas, including garbage collection and disposal.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs general, routine custodial duties, to include dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies.
• Able to operate custodial equipment vacuum, shampooer and floor stripper.
• Able to perform high cleaning and waxing of floors.
• Clean and stock restrooms and supply closets.
• Daily sanitization of restrooms and common areas.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures. Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods of time.
• Time management; ability to meet work goals in a timely manner.
• Attention to detail.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Office conditions are varied and include physical tasks including lifting, pushing or pulling over 25-50 pounds. Physical positions will include but not be limited to walking, standing or sitting for extended periods of time, and crawling, kneeling or cramped work, requiring repeated stooping, and work requiring repeated or frequent stair climbing. The environment will include customer contact and working in indoor and outdoor environment.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• High School or equivalent
• Must have a valid Driver's License and able to drive automatic and standard vehicles.
• Must have ability to obtain appropriate State and Government licenses.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Two (2) years' experience in a direct or related field to the position.
• Must demonstrate physical and mental capability to perform work.
• Must be able to work on weekends.
• Must be able to use the tools of the trade to include, floor finishers, shampoo machine and various types of vacuums.

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Secret security clearance is required. (Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.)
