Custodian Shifts Available:1st (6:00 AM- 4:00 PM)Pay Range: $16.50 - $18.50, $500.00 Starting BonusAt EW Grobbel, we have been proudly delivering high quality food for 140 years. As one of Crain’s “50 Fastest Growing Companies in Detroit,” we’re ready to be a national powerhouse. We’re looking for a highly skilled Custodian to help us grow our team.Job Description:
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, hallways, and common areas (includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming etc.)
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
- Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report any maintenance issues
- Follow safety procedures and proper chemical handling guidelines
- Respond promptly to spills and cleaning emergencies
- Support special cleaning projects as assigned
- Custodial or Janitorial background preferred but not required
- Positive attitude and able to work well with others
- Food safety training will be provided and is not required for employment
- Able to work in changing environmental conditions (such as temperature and noise)
- Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Position is 100% on Plant Floor
- Ability to walk throughout the facility for extended periods and safely ascend and descend multiple flights of stairs.
- Normal work week is Monday – Friday
