Job description:

Manpower has a client that is seeking a hospitality focused Custodian/Janitor to join their team! This position is responsible for maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Custodian/Janitor:

  • Follows cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, etc) as outlined for Housekeeping Department.

  • Cleans assigned areas, furnishings, fixtures, gutters, power washing outside walkways, resident patios, parking areas, etc. according to established procedures.

  • Cleans floors: Dry mop, wet mop, sweeps, disinfects where and when necessary. Cleans carpeting and rugs: vacuums carpeting, shampoo & extract carpets and rugs.

  • Straightens or rearranges furniture, as directed. Inspects furnishings for wear and defects and reports to supervisor.

  • Cleans stairways, entrances, exits.

  • Performs miscellaneous other duties such as but not limited, removing waste and disposal of waste and trash, sending soiled linen to laundry.

  • Washes windows inside and outside of residential and commons area.

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK

  • Tuesday- 7:00am to 11:00am

  • Thursday- 12:00pm to 8:00pm

  • Friday- 12:00pm to 8:00pm

  • Saturday- 8:00am to 8:00pm
