Custodian (Part-Time)

Custodians are responsible to provide support for the upkeep and maintenance of Sight & Sound properties.  

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Assure personal safety and a safe working environment.• Assure an orderly and clean work environment to include all assigned areas within the Sight & Sound building.• Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to general custodial duties to • ensure consistency, efficiency, safety, and high-quality outcomes.• Perform cleaning activities which include all aspects of the theatre such as offices, • restrooms, lobby areas, all public and private areas of the building assigned.• Perform routine carpet care maintenance, which includes vacuuming, spot cleaning, and • the operation of carpet care equipment, as well as maintaining carpet cleaning equipment • and supplies.• Report maintenance or replacement needs to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Lead.• When called upon, help in other areas of the building, maintenance, and grounds,• depending on availability and ability.• All other duties as assigned.• Prerequisites:• A respectful and caring team player.• Ability to receive and understand verbal and written instruction.• Good verbal and communication skills.• Exhibit a positive attitude.• Comfortable with heights.• Willing to learn operational training on forklifts, scissor lifts, aerial lifts, etc.• Support of and belief in Sight & Sound’s purpose statement.
