About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our facilities and maintenance team. The Custodian will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment in buildings and work areas. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that all facilities are well-kept, sanitary, and presentable for employees, visitors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
Clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
Empty trash and recycling receptacles and ensure proper waste disposal.
Refill and maintain supplies such as soap, paper towels, and restroom items.
Clean windows, doors, furniture, and fixtures.
Assist with setup and teardown for meetings, events, or facility functions.
Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or repair needs promptly.
Operate cleaning equipment safely and maintain supplies in good condition.
Follow established cleaning schedules and safety procedures.
Support special cleaning or maintenance projects as assigned.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior custodial, janitorial, or maintenance experience preferred but not required.
Ability to use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, orderly spaces.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and reaching for extended periods.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior custodial, janitorial, or maintenance experience preferred but not required.
Ability to use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, orderly spaces.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and reaching for extended periods.

Preferred Skills
Experience with floor care (buffing, waxing, stripping).
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper handling techniques (MSDS awareness).
Familiarity with safety and sanitation standards (OSHA compliance).
