The YMCA of Greater Erie is looking to hire a Custodianfor ourDowntown Location. Are you active, conscientious, and task oriented? Do you love keeping things running smoothly and contributing to the success of a civic organization? If so, please read on!
This position pays up to $10.00-$12.48/Hour (based on experience).
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CUSTODIAN
As a Custodian for the YMCA of Greater Erie, you will keep the building and property clean, well-functioning, and problem free. You will need to have the ability to fix and clean the assigned areas. Custodians are what keep assigned areas clean, up-to-date, and ready for the children, staff, and clients every day. It is more then just collecting trash, mopping, and fixing things, the hard work helps provide a safe, clean, and sanitary facility for all to enjoy.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CUSTODIAN
- At least 18 years of age
- Must be able to complete assigned job duties with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to lift and move items over 50 pounds
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to pass a physical
- Ability to acquire appropriate certifications within 90 days
- Love for a community environment

WORK SCHEDULE
The typical schedule for our Custodian position is 15-20 hours per week.
