Join Our Team at Hawaiian Building Maintenance!
Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) has been providing quality service since 1957. We are one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We are seeking to hire a highly motivated, reliable, and trustworthy individual with strong customer service skills and a keen attention to detail to join Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM). The part-time Janitorial Floater will be responsible for traveling between one or more buildings on the Island of Maui, ensuring cleanliness according to assigned cleaning duties. While previous experience in custodial, housekeeping, or a related field is preferred. All applicants must successfully pass background check, have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle. -Compensation per hour: $16.50
-Key Responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness of common areas within the facility
Communicate effectively and understand English
Basic maintenance repair
Tidy up office spaces
Operate a vacuum for indoor cleaning
Restroom cleaning and restock supplies
Sweep, mop, interior and exterior floors, clean glass doors and mirrors
Clean and disinfect surfaces that are being touched frequently
Clean and wipe down all tables and chairs
Collect and dispose of trash in designated areas
Stand and walk for extended periods
Lift trash from bins, bend, and navigate staircases
Push trash bins as needed
-Skills/Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Must pass background check
Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle
Previous janitorial, custodian experience or related experience is preferred, and willing to train.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
Must have good public relations skills and communication
Applicants must perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, frequently lift, push, pull, carry a minimum of 30lbs (up to 50lbs), be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, stair and ladder climbing and stand throughout their shifts.
