Job Description
St. Michael Poplar Springs Parish, located on St Michaels Road in Mount Airy Maryland has a part-time opening for a Custodial Assistant. The Custodial Assistant helps to perform routine custodial duties for the parish buildings and property. This position is scheduled for Weekends only, 8am to 1pm; 8-10 weekly hours and non-benefit eligible. Position reports to the Facilities Manager.
Essential Functions
- Cleans Church, parish office, community spaces, and mission buildings.
- Sweeps, vacuums, mops, and waxes floors as needed.
- Washes windows, removes dust and debris as needed.
- Removes trash from inside the buildings and from the grounds.
- Performs minor maintenance tasks, such as replacing filters and bulbs.
Position Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid Maryland driver's license with no more than 3 points.
- Previous cleaning experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety standards for use of cleaning equipment and products preferred.
Range: $16.00 - 16.50, Hourly
