SUMMARY
This position performs general custodial duties at the Multimodal Transfer Station such as floor care, sweeping, dusting, mopping, glass cleaning, restroom cleaning, and all other building care as assigned. This position will also maintain the bus benches, trash receptacles and concrete around the exterior of the facility. The primary purpose of this position is to maintain an acceptable level of cleanliness, inside and outside, of the Transit Multimodal Transfer Station property. This position will be required to work shifts including Weekdays, Saturday, some Holidays, and during inclement weather. This position is considered weather essential personnel.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sweeps, dust mops, and wet mops the floors.
- Vacuums carpets.
- Cleans and sanitizes restrooms.
- Empties and cleans waste receptacles and disposes of trash.
- Dusts furniture, walls, and fixtures.
- Cleans glass doors, windows, and mirrors.
- Disinfect furniture in the passenger waiting area.
- Disinfect benches at the bus slips.
- Handles cleaning chemicals responsibly.
- Tends to all matters of cleanliness on the grounds surrounding the building.
- Cleans HVAC output and return vents as needed.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Requires a High School Diploma and/or its equivalent and a minimum of one to two years of custodial experience. Ability to attain a CDL within the 1st year of employment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Ability to understand oral and written instructions.
- Ability to operate or use a maid cart with all types of cleaning supplies, including, mops, brooms, dust mops, glass cleaning equipment, vacuums, carpet cleaning machines, power wash, and all other equipment necessary to perform assigned duties.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee works in a secure indoor and outdoor work environment that may periodically have unpredicted requirements or demands. This position will be required to work shifts including weekdays, holidays, and during inclement weather. This position is considered weather essential personnel.
