Job Description
Project Coordinator – Gas & Electric Distribution
Pay Rate: Starting at $25.00/hourLogistics: HybridLocation: Traverse City, MIThe Project Coordinator supports the delivery of gas and electric services to residential and commercial/industrial customers by managing projects from customer request through design, scheduling, and field construction. This role serves as the primary customer point of contact and coordinates cross?functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between customers, internal teams, and external stakeholders
- Gather customer project scopes and manage projects through design, scheduling, and construction phases
- Estimate customer and system loads; prepare cost estimates and identify permit requirements
- Create, manage, and track work orders and project milestones
- Analyze distribution design requirements and system impacts to support work order preparation
- Coordinate prerequisites to meet customer commitments in a fast?paced environment
- Provide project status updates and manage scheduling priorities
- Conduct field visits with customers as needed
- Utilize CAD, SAP, and other systems to support customer requests and quality control standards
Required Skills & Experience
- Working knowledge of gas and/or electric distribution systems
- Strong project coordination, task prioritization, and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze complex problems and recommend solutions
- Excellent communication, customer service, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to multitask and manage high?volume work under deadlines
- Strong computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Office); experience with CAD and SAP preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Valid driver’s license required
Education Requirements
- Associate degree in a technical or scientific field (48+ technical credit hours), or
- Two years of college coursework (60 credits) toward a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
