Job Description

AmeriLux Family of Companies (AFoC) is hiring! At AmeriLux Logistics, we are in the people business. We are committed to providing exceptional third-party logistics solutions while fostering strong relationships with our customers, shippers, and carriers. As a Customer Service Representative, you will serve as the voice and primary point of contact for our customers, ensuring seamless communication, problem-solving, and service excellence. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive communicator who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment. You will be responsible for managing customer relationships, coordinating shipments, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Relationship Management & Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact, providing clear, timely updates and solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers, shippers, and receivers.
  • Identify new opportunities for growth, including spot quotes and future business needs.
  • Keep customer information up to date in our CRM and manage customer portal updates.

Logistics Coordination & Shipment Execution:

  • Enter new orders and build shipments in our Transportation Management System.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments with shippers and receivers.
  • Partner closely with our tracking teams to ensure on‑time, accurate delivery.
  • Monitor deliveries in transit and proactively resolve issues before they impact service.

Operational Support & Efficiency:

  • Maintain organized and accurate records throughout the order process.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to strengthen relationships and support customer growth.
  • Follow all company safety standards and industry regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with all internal and external partners to keep operations running smoothly.

Requirements

    • A positive attitude and a genuine interest in learning the logistics industry.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers and teammates.
    • Solid attention to detail and the ability to stay organized while managing multiple tasks.
    • Comfort working in a fast‑paced environment where priorities can shift quickly.
    • Basic computer skills; experience with CRM or TMS systems is helpful but not required—we’ll train you.
    • A collaborative, team‑focused mindset and willingness to jump in where needed.
