We are seeking Member Services Representatives to join a fast-paced healthcare support team in Houston, TX.In this role, you will serve as a primary point of contact for members, providers, and partners, assisting with questions related to healthcare benefits, eligibility, claims, prior authorizations, and general account support.This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a high-volume call center environment and can confidently research issues, communicate solutions, and deliver a positive customer experience.What You'll Be Doing
  • Handle inbound calls related to member benefits, eligibility, claims status, prior authorizations, and service concerns
  • Research and resolve claims-related inquiries by reviewing details, identifying issues, and determining appropriate next steps
  • Submit reconsideration requests and escalation documentation when needed
  • Work toward first-call resolution whenever possible
  • Accurately document customer interactions, account updates, and follow-up actions
  • Route inquiries electronically to the appropriate departments while maintaining accurate records
  • Collaborate with claims, eligibility, authorization, and operations teams to resolve member and provider concerns
  • Track recurring issues and communicate trends to leadership
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and follow all applicable privacy and internal service requirements
  • Deliver professional, courteous, and solution-focused customer service during every interaction
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of customer service, call center, or contact center experience
  • 2+ years of healthcare-related experience supporting benefits, claims, eligibility, or authorizations are required
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong computer skills and accurate data entry abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Reliable and committed to working onsite in Houston
Preferred Experience
  • Healthcare plans, health insurance, or managed care
  • Claims review and claims status inquiries
  • Member eligibility verification
  • Prior authorization workflows
  • CRM and case management systems
  • Healthcare customer service platforms
