Job Description

Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry! We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 50 labs throughout the country. We are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this Customer Service & Case Entry Representative opportunity at NDX Thayer Dental Laboratory in Mechanicsburg, PA

The regular hours for this position are from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, and subject to change from time to time. 

This is a full-time position featuring employee benefits including: health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance; paid holiday, vacation, and sick time; 401K with company contribution; and tuition reimbursement!  

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Unpacking and sanitizing new work as needed as described in the procedural SOP
  • Sort and attach doctor prescriptions, notes, etc. to the case pan
  • Calling customers to verify and/or gather information to properly schedule cases
  • Primary responsibility is to schedule incoming cases
  • Invoice finished cases
  • Properly pack completed cases
  • Verify and properly consolidate all cases to prepare for shipping
  • Sort and properly ship packages that require express services
  • Disburse cases for local drivers
  • Maintain proper level of assembled shipping boxes
  • Responsible for organizing and maintaining a clean and safe work area free of debris
  • Answering telephones
  • Assist with filing and/or scanning completed paperwork properly
  • Assist with supply request fulfillment as needed
  • All other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Strong ability to comprehend and execute on both written and verbal instructions
  • Strong knowledge of computers
  • High level of organizational skill with the ability to prioritize work
  • Ability to collaborate with all team members
  • Strong critical thinking skills for problem solving
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: strong knowledge of dental terminology
  • No experience required

Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:

  • Disinfectant process chemicals
  • Personal protective equipment as required
  • Office equipment

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach
  • Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Repetitive movement with a computer mouse
  • Spend extended time in front of a computer screen
  • Push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 25 pounds
