Job Description
Talon Hiring Solutions is looking for a Customer Service Freight Coordinator to support daily freight operations and carrier relationships. This role serves as a key point of contact for carriers and internal teams, ensuring accurate shipment tracking, timely communication, and issue resolution.
What you will do:
- Communicate with carriers to provide shipment status updates and resolve issues
Make outbound and inbound calls to track shipments and confirm pickup/delivery details
Update shipments in customer web portals
Trace shipments using carrier systems and websites
Develop and maintain relationships with core carriers
Resolve carrier and customer inquiries related to freight in transit
Support team members and follow guidance from the Team Lead
Complete administrative and reporting tasks as needed
Qualifications:
1+ year of experience in transportation, logistics, or customer service
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Experience with TMS systems preferred
High school diploma required; transportation experience a plus
