About the Role
Position involves providing technical and sales assistance to SEW-EURODRIVE customers, potential customers and associates in order to maintain established sales activity and generate new sales within corporate guidelines. Customers and associates will be handled with a view toward growth and long-term relationships while maintaining a consistent and businesslike attitude.
First Shift
Pay Rate - $20.00 per hour
Top six skills and abilities being sought for this position:
- Ability to learn and understand the basics of power transmission equipment, associated nomenclature and catalog information in order to meet customer needs and processing procedures.
- Ability to handle stress and interact with others in a fast -paced environment with continuous interruptions by following instructions, both verbal and written.
- Ability to organize workload for timely accomplishment of work while communicating with all company employees in a business-like and professional manner.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions based on factual information received by analyzing and appraising customer needs.
- Must have good oral and written communication and organizational skills.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, push and pull, bend, twist, stoop, and kneel especially as part of first 3 weeks of training and occasionally thereafter.
Top six actual tasks most relevant for this position:
- Generate quotes in CRM and SAP/Configurator using serial/sales order numbers provided by customers.
- Enters orders in CRM as per Customer Purchase Order or Referenced Quotation as well as verify order is entered with correct account, price/quantity, shipping method, ship-to address, and correct specifications.
- Utilize CRM to enter 2.5 lines per hour as quotes or sales orders.
- Achieve +60% availability to handle calls and answer +90% of calls presented.
- Work with other departments as required to coordinate release of orders, expediting, parts purchasing and availability, and any customer service specialty requitements.
- Comply with all current ISO Quality and Work instructions for jobs, all company safety rules, and all other company rules, policies, and procedures to include assessing each situation and not performing any tasks which feels unsafe, on which training has not been conducted, engaging in any unsafe work practices, and/or reporting any unsafe conditions to management.
A 10% shift premium is paid for 2nd and 3rd shift positions.
