Lead Customer Service in a Growing 3PL Operation – Direct Impact, Stable Schedule, Houston-Based

Are you an experienced Customer Service professional ready to take ownership in a fast-paced logistics environment? A growing third-party logistics provider in North Houston is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to oversee bonded warehouse, foreign trade zone, and import/export compliance operations. This is a high-visibility role working closely with executive leadership and warehouse operations to ensure regulatory excellence and smooth international trade flow.

Job Highlights:

• Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (In-Office)
• Pay: $20/hr
• Location: North Houston
• Environment: Established 3PL with bonded and warehouse operations

Responsibilities:

• Order Management:
  • Enter customer orders accurately into the system.
  • Confirm order details with clients and address any inquiries or issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate receiving and pulling of orders.
• Customer Support:
  • Serve as the primary liaison between customers and warehouse operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to orders and compliance.
• Compliance Assurance:
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with CBP regulations for bonded customers.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to compliance and customs processes.
  • Stay informed about changes in regulations and ensure all practices align with federal requirements.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with warehouse personnel to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss order fulfillment and compliance challenges and solutions.
• Reporting:
  • Generate reports on order status, compliance issues, and customer feedback as needed.
  • Assist in the development of standard operating procedures for order processing and compliance.

Requirements:

• 3–5+ years of customs or trade compliance experience within a 3PL, brokerage, importer/exporter, or freight forwarder environment
• Experience supporting bonded warehouse and/or FTZ operations
• Strong working knowledge of HTS classification, 19 CFR regulations, ACE, ISF filings, and C-TPAT
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to work onsite Monday–Friday in North Houston
• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
