Job SummaryWe are seeking a reliable, safety-focused, and motivated Cutter Worker 1 to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining industrial band saw equipment while ensuring products meet quality and production standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to workplace safety. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, perform physically demanding tasks, and work in cold-temperature conditions. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong work ethic, dependability, and a commitment to producing high-quality results while supporting overall team and production goals.Responsibilities and Duties
  • Safely operate industrial band saw equipment according to established procedures and production requirements.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety and follow all company safety policies.
  • Set up, adjust, and prepare machinery for efficient operation.
  • Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot basic operational issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance and band saw blade changes as required.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards.
  • Accurately complete production reports and maintain required records.
  • Clean and maintain machinery and work areas to support a safe and organized environment.
  • Regularly test equipment performance and operating capacity.
  • Assist with other production-related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain punctuality and dependable attendance.
  • Work in cold temperatures (30–40°F) and other manufacturing environments as needed.
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor throughout the shift.
  • Safely lift up to 50 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or industrial experience preferred; equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
  • Ability to use measurements and calculate quantities accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, motivated, and safety-conscious with a positive attitude.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for handling materials, operating equipment, and performing machine adjustments.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to lift or move items exceeding 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, cold temperatures, wet conditions, vibration, and elevated noise levels.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment where hearing protection and other PPE may be required.
