We are seeking dedicated CVOR Techs specializing in surgical services to support complex cardiac and vascular procedures. This vital role offers a chance to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to life-saving surgeries, making a meaningful difference every day.Key responsibilities include preparing surgical equipment, receiving pump lines from perfusion, assisting with a broad spectrum of cardiac and vascular surgeries such as Aneurysm Repair, Valve Replacements, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), and more. You will play a crucial role in ensuring optimal surgical flow, patient safety, and team coordination during intricate procedures.Required Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CVOR Tech or Surgical Technologist
• Competency in Level 1 Trauma Center settings
• Experience with Vascular, Thoracic, and Cardiac Surgery Cases
• Proficiency in handling pump lines, cannulation, and surgical instrumentation
• BCLS certification
• NBSTSA certification

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with Robotic Assisted Cardiac Surgery and Transcatheter procedures
• Familiarity with complex surgeries such as Heart & Lung Transplant, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, and VAD implantation
• Knowledge of perfusion workflows and intraoperative management

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA or equivalent)
• At least 2 years of recent cardiac and vascular surgery experience in a Level 1 Trauma environment

Other Requirements:

• Must have current BCLS and NBSTSA certifications
• Ability to work a 4x10 schedule, shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Call requirement of 90-120 hours within a 6-week period
• First-time travelers accepted with Level 1 Trauma experience
• Travel reimbursement and licensure/Certification support provided
• Effective as of 11/30/24, IN RNs are generally not permitted at IU Health facilities, but perioperative/OR RNs and allied health travelers are exempt and may work past this date.
