What You’ll Do
  • Prepare and analyze cytology specimens using ThinPrep and other staining techniques
  • Assist with onsite FNA (Fine Needle Aspiration) procedures
  • Perform PAP and image-guided GYN screening
  • Conduct non-GYN cytology screening (smears, cytospins)
  • Make preliminary diagnoses and assist with specimen labeling and identification
  • Handle incoming cases including ascitic fluid, esophageal, gastric, spinal, bronchial, and other specimens
  • Collaborate with physicians and lab staff to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis
What You Need
  • Valid Cytotechnologist (CT) certification through ASCP
  • LA State License through LSBME (CLS Cytotechnologist)
  • At least 2 years of cytotechnology experience
  • Proficiency in ThinPrep, smear preparation, staining, and onsite procedures
  • Ability to handle FNA procedures and cytological analysis confidently
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
