Job Description
This position is responsible for greeting, scheduling appointments and maintaining records and account in a Healthcare Management System.This includes, but is not limited to:
- Verifies patient information and accurately updates demographics and insurance information. Confirms purpose of visit obtains reports or x-rays performed at other facilities.
- Prepares patient encounters for future appointments and obtains all necessary medical documentation that is needed for the patient's visit.
- Schedules future appointments for patients.
- Collects co-payments and balances on patients' accounts.
- Represents the practice in a professional, customer-focused manner with an emphasis on service excellence.
- Answers patients' questions and concerns.
- Calls other medical facilities for records and radiography.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Some related experience in an orthopedic/medical setting is helpful but not required.
