Job Description
Tutor math to eager high school and middle school students at our incredible tutoring center in Camarillo. Great pay. Excellent support. Wonderful team.
Job Details:
- Only apply if you can demonstrate knowledge of Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus. Trigonometry would be fantastic, too, but isn’t a requirement. You should also be highly competent in pre-algebra basics like fractions, decimals, percentages, etc.
- The days are Monday and Wednesday, Tuesday and Thursday, or both (Monday - Thursday).
- Our hours of operation are from 3:30 to 7:00. Within that, you would probably receive two to four hours per day.
- No driving from place to place. No going into the homes of people you don’t know.
- Most of our sessions are back-to-back which means less “lost time” waiting between clients.
- Our ideal candidate is knowledgeable, caring, dependable, good with students, experienced, and an excellent communicator.
- Some of our math students also do reading exercises but we can teach you how to do these.
We are Tutorific. We tutor students from TK through 12th grade as well as college students. We’re based in Camarillo and have been here for 50+ years. Working here is so fantastic that many tutors remain with us year after year. Our mission statement is, “To be the best place in Ventura County to be tutored and to be a tutor.” We place as much emphasis on our staff as we do on our students. Come work where you’ll be wanted and respected. College students, adults who use upper math in their other jobs, paraeducators, and credentialed teachers are all welcome.
