Position Type:      Electrical AssemblyLocation:         El Segundo, CAHourly rate: $37.24Contractor benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental, 401kJob Description: Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools. The Electro-Mechanical Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of manufacturing of space flight sub-systems and support equipment. Position Responsibilities• Electro-Mechanical assembly of PCB assemblies into product chassis• Assemble Electro-Mechanical assemblies by interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications, and written assembly, and standard operating procedures• Use precision calibrated tools torque wrenches, micrometers and calipers• Perform visually inspect of Electro-Mechanical assemblies to drawings, engineering specifications, and written assembly, integration and test procedures• Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications• Document non-conformances and associated rework/repair• Soldering and reworking of through-hole and SMT components• Support conformal coat, masking, epoxy application and coating Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED• More than 3 years of experience reading blueprints, working with manufacturing plans, and reviewing instructions for aerospace manufacturing processes• Capable of lifting 20lbs or more on a frequent basis• Ability to stand and move (reach, bend, or stoop) to handle products for extended periods of time with only short breaks Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)• More than 3 years of experience in electronics, electro-mechanical and printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies• More than 3 years of experience in Electro-Mechanical assembly on high reliability products• More than 3 years of experience working with ESD, IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards• More than 3 years of experience with soldering• More than 5 years of experience building a variety of component-level space products (e.g. avionics boxes, batteries, mechanisms, optics, printed circuit board assemblies, solar arrays, etc.)• More than 3 years of experience using structures hand tools, test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers• More than 3 years of experience working in a Clean Room environment• More than 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment• Currently hold a IPC J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 certification• More than 3 years of experience using basic Microsoft Office and office computing systemsMust be U.S. Person for purposes of Export Compliance.  Reference Number: VEVBA EEO Statement Apollo Professional Solutions, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
