Job Description
The Team Member's responsibilities under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist working in the Infusion Therapy Pharmacy are: drug distribution services, order entry functions, clerical functions, the preparation of pharmaceutical doses and IV admixtures including chemotherapy or hazardous medications, maintaining adequate inventory levels of in date pharmaceuticals, maintaining personal professional competency, aiding performance improvement activities and performs any other job related duties as requested by a pharmacist or pharmacy management.
Qualifications-Must be registered with the South Carolina Pharmacy Board as a technician. Preferred to be certified by the Pharmacy Technician
Certification Board, (PTCB), and registered in good standing as a "Certified Pharmacy Technician" with the SC Board of Pharmacy. (This
requires being a graduate of an approved Pharmacy Technician program and by having submitted documentation for their required
number of work experience hours as a pharmacy technician or having met requirements to be grandfathered in by 2004). If not
currently certified, must obtain certifications within 6 months of hire. Must have basic typing skills and a working knowledge of
computers and equipment utilized in the preparation, repackaging, dispensing and distribution of pharmaceutical products.
