Job Description
Duties:
- Oversee the daily operations of the dairy department, including managing inventory, ordering products, and ensuring proper stock levels.
- Ensure that all dairy products are properly displayed and rotated to maintain freshness.
- Train and supervise dairy department staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to food safety and sanitation.
- Monitor sales trends and adjust product offerings to meet customer demand.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, and employee schedules.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in retail management, preferably in a grocery or dairy department.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and staff members who may speak different languages (multilingual or bilingual skills are a plus).
- Proficiency in retail math, including budgeting, pricing, and profit margins.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and motivate a team of employees.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
