Job Description
Job Title: Data Engineer 5
Location: Beaverton, OR
Salary Range: $70-75
Introduction
This is an on-site role at PHK with a typical work schedule following a 4/1 hybrid model. We are urgently seeking a candidate who can start as soon as possible to join our dynamic team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
- 10 years of experience in large-scale software development, with at least 5 years in big data
- Proficiency in Databricks, Spark, Python, Snowflake, and SQL
- Experience with AI tools and initiatives
- Excellent communication skills
- Prior work experience at the client or in the client's industry
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
- Experience with or knowledge of the finance domain
- Experience with data analytics and BI tools
- AWS, Databricks certifications are nice to have but not required
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Design and implement data products and features in collaboration with product owners, data analysts, and business partners using Agile/Scrum methodology
- Contribute to the overall architecture, frameworks, and patterns for processing and storing large data volumes
- Translate product backlog items into logical units of work in engineering
- Implement distributed data processing pipelines using tools and languages prevalent in the big data ecosystem
- Build utilities, user-defined functions, libraries, and frameworks to better enable data flow patterns
- Work with engineering leads and other teams to ensure quality solutions are implemented, and engineering best practices are defined and followed
- Build and incorporate automated unit tests and participate in integration testing efforts
- Troubleshoot data issues and perform root cause analysis
- Work across teams to resolve operational and performance issues
