Data Architect –Platform & Data StrategyLocation: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)•Competitive base salary + performance bonus •100% company-paid benefitsOverviewWe are seeking a Data Architect to define and lead the data architecture and strategy supporting a large-scale, distributed infrastructure environment.This role focuses on designing a unified data ecosystem that connects operational systems, infrastructure telemetry, application platforms, and business data into a cohesive, analytics-ready foundation. You will play a key role in structuring how data is modeled, governed, and consumed across the organization, enabling advanced analytics, simulation, and intelligent decision-making.A central component of this role involves establishing semantic frameworks that define how data is organized, related, and interpreted across systems, ensuring consistency and reusability across a complex technology landscape.Key ResponsibilitiesData Strategy & Architecture •Define the long-term data architecture and strategic roadmap across infrastructure, platform, and business domains •Design scalable data models and pipelines that support analytics, reporting, and advanced use cases •Establish standards for data integration, transformation, and interoperability across distributed systemsSemantic Modeling & Data Design •Develop and govern enterprise-level semantic models, taxonomies, and data relationships •Define canonical data structures and shared definitions to ensure consistency across domains •Build abstraction layers that support advanced use cases such as simulation, forecasting, and system optimizationData Governance & Operating Model •Establish data governance frameworks including quality, lineage, metadata, access control, and lifecycle management •Define ownership models and promote domain-oriented data practices aligned with modern data architecture principles •Enable discoverability and usability of data through cataloging and metadata standardsPlatform Integration & Collaboration •Partner with engineering, platform, and product teams to align data architecture with system and application design •Support integration of data across infrastructure systems, applications, and analytics platforms •Drive adoption of best practices for data management, modeling, and governanceTechnology Evaluation & Innovation •Evaluate emerging tools and technologies across data platforms, observability, and analytics ecosystems •Guide adoption of scalable solutions that enhance data accessibility and platform capabilitiesRequired Experience•7+ years of experience in data architecture, data strategy, or related roles within complex, large-scale environments •Strong experience designing enterprise data models, semantic layers, or governed data frameworks •Experience defining data standards, integration patterns, and cross-domain data structures •Deep understanding of data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical) and data management principles •Experience implementing governance frameworks including metadata, lineage, and access control •Familiarity with distributed systems, infrastructure data, or large-scale platform environments •Experience with modern cloud-based data platforms (e.G., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery) from an architectural perspective •Strong communication skills with the ability to align technical and business stakeholdersPreferred Experience•Experience with knowledge graphs, semantic layers, or ontology-driven data models •Familiarity with domain-oriented data architectures or federated data ownership models •Exposure to compute-intensive or data-rich environments (e.G., large-scale infrastructure, analytics platforms) •Experience supporting advanced use cases such as simulation, predictive modeling, or digital representations of systems •Understanding of workload orchestration or telemetry data from complex systems
