ON-SITE POSITION – OKLAHOMAThis role requires daily onsite work at one of our northeastern Oklahoma locations. Remote work is not available, and candidates must be located in Oklahoma or willing to relocate (no relocation fee offered).

Position Overview

The Data & Reporting Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role leverages SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, and related technologies to deliver high-quality reports, dashboards, and analytics. The position ensures data integrity, promotes governance standards, and supports enterprise-wide business intelligence initiatives.

Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Gather, document, and validate reporting requirements with business stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain SSRS reports and Power BI dashboards to meet business requirements.
  • Develop ETL processes for data integration and transformation using SQL Server tools.
  • Develop Power BI datasets, dataflows, and semantic models; create interactive dashboards with row-level security and certified datasets.
  • Implement data standards and guidelines to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Follow Master Data Management standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with data stewards to improve data quality and resolve discrepancies.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for BI solutions.
  • Monitor and optimize BI solutions for performance and scalability.
  • Provide end-user training on BI tools and promote adoption of reporting solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve BI-related issues promptly.
  • Optimize SQL performance (indexing, execution plans, partitioning) and adhere to GRDA standards for security and change management.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualities:

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse group of team members, including executives, managers, IT professionals, and subject matter experts.
  • Proven ability to facilitate requirement workshops / training sessions with large groups of business users.
  • Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications that can be used for development, breaking down technical complexities so that they can be easily understood by business units and end users.
  • Experience in process mapping, group facilitation, data gathering and analysis, and phases of project life cycle (requirements gathering, design, development, deployment, training, and measuring effectiveness.)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
  • Strong ability to work effectively within time constraints, changing priorities, and independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Including Intermediate in Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Azure Data Services or other cloud BI platforms.
  • Familiarity with DAMA-DMBOK or DCAM frameworks.

Education, Training, Experience:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting SSRS, Power BI, or related technologies.
  • Familiarity with ITSM systems to manage incident, problem, or change management tickets.
  • Experience with Jira Service Desk, cloud administration, and app integration is highly preferred.
  • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license, or the ability to convert within 30 days for those with an out of state driver’s license that are an Oklahoma resident.

Physical/Mental Requirements & Working Conditions:

  • Work is mainly performed in an office setting.

Other information:

  • This position is an on-premises position and will be located at one of the following GRDA locations:
    • The Engineering and Technology Center in Tulsa
    • The Administrative Center in Chouteau
    • The Energy Control Center in Locust Grove
  • Minimal day travel required, with overnight travel limited to attending training and conferences.
  • Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
