Job Title: Data Center HVAC Technician
Location: DFW, TX
Pay: $33-$46/hr based on experience and project requirements.
Schedule: 50-60+ hours per week. Overtime may be available based on project needs.
Assignment Type: W2 contract, project-based assignment, or contract-to-hire depending on client/project.
Role SummaryPacer Data Center Solutions is hiring Data Center HVAC Technicians to support installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, startup, and commissioning support for mechanical cooling systems in mission-critical data center environments. Cooling systems are essential to data center uptime and reliability.
This role may support chillers, CRAC units, CRAH units, air handlers, pumps, cooling towers, piping, ductwork, controls, and related mechanical infrastructure.

- Lead HVAC Technician
- Support installation, inspection, startup, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems
- Work with chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, air handlers, pumps, cooling towers, and related equipment
- Assist with mechanical system testing, balancing, and commissioning support
- Read mechanical drawings, equipment schedules, and installation plans
- Coordinate with mechanical, controls, electrical, and commissioning teams
- Maintain safety and quality standards on mission-critical projects
- Document work completed, issues found, and corrective actions
- Commercial, industrial, or mission-critical HVAC experience
- Familiarity with large-scale cooling systems preferred
- EPA certification preferred or required depending on assignment
- Experience with chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, pumps, and controls preferred
- OSHA, lift, or mechanical certifications preferred
- Ability to pass client onboarding requirements, which may include background check, drug screen, and site badging
- Data center, hospital, manufacturing, cleanroom, or critical facility experience
- Experience supporting commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, or preventive maintenance
- Active data center construction, mission-critical facility, industrial, or technical infrastructure environment
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods in active construction or facility environments
- May require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling materials, tools, equipment, ladders, cable, components, or job-site materials; specific lifting requirements vary by role and assignment
- May require bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching overhead, climbing stairs or ladders, and working from scissor lifts, boom lifts, or other approved lift equipment when authorized
- May require working around active construction activities, moving equipment, elevated work areas, noise, dust, temperature changes, and other job-site conditions
- May require use of PPE, tools, and site-specific safety equipment
- May require overtime, weekends, nights, or rotating schedules depending on project needs
