Job Description

Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Data Engineer 2. The work will be done onsite in Rapid City, SD. This is a long-term 24-month position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $23/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).Job Summary Cullerton Group is seeking a Data Engineer to support product compliance and regulatory data initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on performing data analysis related to product chemical and material compliance, supporting regulatory reporting, and helping improve internal tools used for compliance tracking and reporting. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to process compliance requests, analyze material specifications, and contribute to system and database enhancements that support regulatory standards. This position offers exposure to sustainability, compliance processes, and enterprise data systems in a collaborative engineering environment.Key Responsibilities• Receive, track, and manage substance compliance customer requests• Perform data analysis related to product chemical and material compliance using internal material specifications• Maintain and track metrics associated with chemical management and compliance requests• Support development and enhancement of internal tools and databases used for compliance reporting and analysis• Collaborate with engineering and compliance teams to identify system requirements and improve data processesRequired Qualifications• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field• 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, engineering support, or regulatory/compliance-related roles• Strong Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis• Experience with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detailPreferred Qualifications• Experience with database or compliance tools such as Snowflake or enterprise data systems• Ability to read basic mechanical drawings or technical documentation• Manufacturing or product compliance experience• Familiarity with material specifications, chemical compliance, or sustainability initiativesWhy This Role?
