With a culture of recognition and reputation for excellence, ELS is the ideal organization in which to develop a long and successful career!

ELS is hiring for the position of Data Entry and Quality Control Specialist in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Datacomp is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our Data Entry & Quality Assurance (DE/QA) team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career with a stable, growth-oriented company that values intelligence, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

This role is full-time (40 hours/week, Monday-Friday) and offers the chance to gain deep insight into a unique segment of the real estate industry.

What You'll Do

  • As part of our DE/QA team, you'll play a critical role in supporting our appraisal operations:
  • Review inspection reports, photos, and documentation submitted by our nationwide network of over 550 field inspectors
  • Accurately enter data into our appraisal software system
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Communicate with inspectors via phone and email to clarify or verify information
  • Use tools like Google Maps and online real estate listings to validate property details
  • Collaborate with our in-house appraisal team to ensure timely and accurate report completion
  • This role requires attention to detail, critical thinking, and a bit of investigative work-sometimes you'll need to piece together incomplete information or interpret handwritten notes

What to Expect

  • This is not an "easy" data entry job. It requires focus, persistence, and problem-solving skills. But for the right person, it's rewarding work that builds valuable expertise in a specialized industry.
  • You'll be joining a team of 27 professionals across appraisal, customer service, and data operations-and we're excited to welcome someone who's ready to contribute and grow with us.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and industry concepts
  • Proven reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule (40 hours/week, Monday-Friday)

In return for your excellent skills and abilities, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, and vision plans, a generous 401(k) employer match, and paid vacations, holidays, and sick time.
