This position goes beyond basic data entry. The right candidate will play a critical role in ensuring production operations run smoothly by maintaining accurate records, identifying discrepancies, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. If you thrive in a structured, fast-paced environment where precision, accountability, and follow-through are essential, this role may be a great fit.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Release Manufacturing Orders in alignment with production scheduling priorities
  • Maintain alignment between Sales Orders and Manufacturing Orders
  • Communicate discrepancies or missing information to appropriate teams

Coordination & System Accuracy

  • Update Manufacturing Orders for changes in quantities, cancellations, or scheduling adjustments
  • Ensure order statuses accurately reflect production progress
  • Monitor and correct errors in BOMs, routings, and order links
  • Close completed Manufacturing Orders in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain clean, reliable system data to support operations

SOP Coordination & Demand Alignment

  • Partner closely with the SOP team to ensure Sales Orders are properly translated into Manufacturing Orders
  • Identify and resolve gaps between sales demand and production orders
  • Support communication between sales, scheduling, and production teams
  • Ensure alignment between what is sold and what is produced

Data Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify recurring errors or inefficiencies in order creation and maintenance
  • Support improvements to processes, templates, and system usage
  • Maintain consistency in data entry standards and naming conventions
  • Contribute to improving accuracy and scalability of data processes

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Assist with data cleanup, audits, and reporting as needed
  • Support internal teams with system-related questions
  • Escalate system or process issues that impact workflow
  • Ensure support tasks are completed efficiently without creating bottlenecks

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or a related field is a plus
  • Experience in data entry, manufacturing operations, or ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business systems
  • Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Familiarity with Sales Order Processing (SOP) workflows
  • Experience maintaining or working with Manufacturing Orders, BOMs, or routings
  • Experience identifying and improving operational or data processes

What Success Looks Like:

  • Manufacturing Orders are accurate, timely, and aligned with production needs
  • System data is clean, reliable, and reflective of real-time operations
  • Sales demand and production execution remain fully aligned
  • Issues and discrepancies are identified and resolved quickly
  • You become a trusted resource for data accuracy and operational support
