Data Management and Governance Analyst - Hybrid Opportunity
This is a hybrid position based at our corporate office in Brentwood, TN, with on-site work required Monday through Wednesday.
As a member of the Surgery Partners Data Team, the Data Management Analyst plays a critical role in driving data organization, educating enterprise stakeholders, and maintaining data integrity. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals passionate about building a career in healthcare data and contributing to a growing data-driven culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and Update Core Data Tables: Ensure accuracy and consistency of key data tables through regular reviews and collaboration with stakeholders across the enterprise.
- Create and Manage Data Dictionaries: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of data definitions and standards.
- Organize Shared Drives: Maintain structured and accessible shared drives for data resources.
- Define and Implement Data Standards: Establish new data definitions and standards to support organizational alignment
- Analyze and Communicate Changes: Evaluate data changes and clearly explain impacts to stakeholders.
- Drive Adoption of Standards: Manage cross-organizational efforts to implement and adhere to data standards.
- Manage Data Governance Committees and Processes: Oversee the company's data governance committees and approval workflows for data changes and integrity.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred in Mathematics, Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: No prior experience required; strong interest in healthcare data and data management is essential.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Comfort and facility with data concepts.
- Self-starter with curiosity and excitement to learn.
- Familiarity with data tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint.
- Basic analytics capabilities and problem-solving skills.
- Team player with strong cross-functional communication skills.
