Role: Data Scientist - Advanced Process Control (APC)

Role Summary

Data Scientist focused on developing and deploying APC use cases to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce variability, and generate measurable cost savings.

This role is hands-on and impact-driven, working closely with engineering and operations to move models into production.

Key Responsibilities

Translate process inefficiencies into data-driven control solutions

Develop models (e.g. predictive, time series, optimization) for process improvement

Support deployment into production systems (APC, MES, or similar)

Monitor model performance and ensure stability over time

Quantify and track business impact (e.g. savings, efficiency gains)

Collaborate with engineers and plant teams to ensure usability and adoption

Requirements

Experience with machine learning and statistical modeling

Strong Python and SQL skills

Experience working with real-world, noisy datasets

Ability to connect models to business/process outcomes

Nice to have:

Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments

Basic understanding of process control concepts
