Data Scientist - Ts/Sci W/ Poly (Bid Role Starting In 8-10 Weeks)

The Sponsor provides the data related technologies and services that training providers rely on to engage with the workforce, deliver training, and make business decisions. The Sponsor is focused on advancing learning goals related to a range of learning formats by facilitating data collection, analysis, visualization, and interpretation. The Sponsor is seeking a candidate skilled in data visualization and basic analysis to assist the team with accurate analysis and presentation of learning related data in order to fulfill stakeholder’s needs and facilitate data driven decisions. The Contractor shall utilize SQL Developer and Python programing languages to extract and transform talent data including the implementation of business rules for how the data needs to be prepared for analytics. The Contractor shall use advanced analytics (e.g., AI/ML) in order to respond to complex talent questions, especially as they relate to language and learning. The Contractor shall utilize data visualization tools and dashboards to appropriately convey data and respond to leadership requests. The Contractor shall develop user-friendly, easy to understand reports (e.g., graphs, charts, briefing slides) for clients to meet business needs. The Contractor shall create, enhance, and maintain data visualizations using Tableau and other tools. (This includes dashboards.) The Contractor shall assist in the collection of data from a variety of sources and understand the relationship between data sets. The Contractor shall provide accurate analyses and results. The Contractor shall evaluate the use of AI models (e.g., Large Language Models), propose improvements, and identify new models for use in responding to learning and language needs. The Contractor shall consult with clients to clarify the question they are trying to answer and their analytic needs. The Contractor shall review data, analytics, and reports for accuracy and integrity

Requirements

• 1. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience using Python and SQL Developer programming language to extract, transform, format, and load data from a variety of sources/systems.• 2. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience working with data pipelines.• 3. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience identifying and obtaining datasets needed to respond to requests.• 4. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience performing advance analytics (e.g., Artificial Intelligence)• 5. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience visualizing data and creating dashboards using Tableau and Tableau Prep.• 6. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience developing user-friendly, easy to understand reports and dashboards.• 7. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Excel to work with data and PowerPoint to create briefing decks.• 8. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience communicating (written/oral) with clients and team members.• 9. (Desired) Demonstrated experience working in a cloud and data lake environment.• 10. (Desired) Demonstrated experience evaluating, identifying, and implementing AI models.• 11. (Desired) Demonstrated experience performing basic consulting with clients in order to clarify the needs of the clients.• 12. (Desired) Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor’s data systems as they relate to language, learning, and/or human resources (HR).• 13. (Desired) Demonstrated experience working with a learning management system.• 14. (Desired) Demonstrated experience using JIRA.
