Data Scientist Lead – Data Platforms – I&D
Location: St. Louis, MO (Onsite)
Position Summary
Seeking a Data Scientist Lead to drive enterprise AI/ML, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation across database and cloud platforms. The role combines hands-on ML expertise with technical leadership to improve performance, reduce costs and risk, and enable data-driven operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead AI/ML strategy, roadmap, and MLOps practices.Develop predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, forecasting, and optimization models.Build and deploy ML solutions using Python, SQL, and cloud platforms.Develop scalable data pipelines and feature engineering workflows.Leverage Generative AI, LLMs, and RAG for operational automation.Lead and mentor data scientists and ML engineers.Implement model monitoring, validation, explainability, and governance.Collaborate with Engineering, Cloud, Security, and Operations teams.Required QualificationsBachelor’s/Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.12+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or ML.3+ years in a leadership or senior technical role.Strong Python, SQL, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, and/or PyTorch.Experience with large-scale databases and cloud ML environments such as AWS, GCP, or OCI.Strong expertise in statistical modeling and machine learning.Preferred QualificationsLLMs, RAG, and Generative AI experience.MLOps tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, or Vertex AI.Database performance analytics and infrastructure optimization.Multi-cloud/hybrid cloud and AI governance experience.
