Data Solution Architect (Healthcare)

Summary

• We are seeking a Data Solutions Architect with expertise in Master Data Management (MDM) and Service oriented Architecture (SOA) to design and implement scalable, high-performance data solutions.
• This role will focus on enterprise data integration, governance and architecture modernization, ensuring seamless data flow across multiple systems while adhering to industry best practices.
• The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Data Strategy, MDM strategies, data modelling and microservices driven architectures, working closely with data engineers, architect, and product/business stakeholders to develop innovative data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement MDM frameworks to centralize and standardize enterprise data across domains (e.g., Party/ Person, Clinical, etc).
• Develop data governance and stewardship models to ensure data consistency, integrity, and compliance.
• Define data integration patterns for synchronizing MDM solutions with operational and analytical systems.
• Design and implement DataHub, DataWarehousing applications
• Design microservices-based data platforms for real-time, event-driven data processing. Define API contracts and integration patterns for secure and scalable data access across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Implement RESTful, GraphQL, and event-driven APIs for data services, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Optimize data services using containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native architectures.
• Architect data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows for structured and unstructured data sources. Lead the integration of MDM with data lakes, data warehouses, and transactional systems. Work with data governance teams to implement metadata management, data lineage and quality frameworks.
• Evaluate and implement data streaming solutions (e.g., Kafka, AWS Kinesis) for real-time data processing.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand data needs, pain points, and solution requirements.
• Guide engineering and development teams in best practices for data modelling, API development, and microservices orchestration.
• Act as a thought leader in data architecture, promoting best practices and emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in Data Architecture, MDM and Data Integration.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing MDM solutions (e.g. Reltio, Verato, Semarchy).
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud data solutions. Particularly with GCP services like BigQuery, Dataproc, DataFlow, CloudSQL, CloudRun, Spanner, etc.
• Strong understanding of microservices, Pub/Sub and API architecture ( REST, GraphQL, gRPC).
• Experience with cloud platforms (particularly GCP) and container orchestration ( Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience design stateless and stateful architecture
• Expertise in data modeling, data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time data streaming. Hands-on experience with SQL, NoSQL, Cloud databases (BigQuery, CloudSQL, Spanner) and graph databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Neo4j).
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools, data pipelines ( Apache Airflow, dbt), and message brokers ( Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Healthcare Domain experience with HL7, FHIR and IBM UDMH Standards/ Models.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in event-driven architecture and domain-driven design (DDD). Familiarity with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) for cloud-based data solutions. Certifications in cloud platforms ( GCP) and MDM technologies.
