Plaza Motors in St. Louis is growing, and this growth has left us with holes on our Accounting and Administrative Support teams that we need to fill immediately. This role will provide support in account and general ledger reconciliation, warranty activation and cancellations, and general customer support. Candidates must have a can-do attitude. CDK experience a plus.

Summary:

We are looking for Automotive dealership-experienced individuals who understand the workflows in a variety of departments and can add immediate value to our accounting team.

Essential Duties:

The primary duties of this role are directly related to general business operations and this individual is responsible for accurate and timely completion of various accounting and administrative functions. Position may include responsibilities in the following areas:

• Reconciles general ledger accounts

• Warranty activations and cancellations

• Accounts payable/accounts receivable

• Controls all posted documents, which may include time records, vehicle deals, commissions, and inventory additions/adjustments

• Prepares daily cash position report

• Prepares daily sales activity report

• Maintains and reconciles petty cash accounts

• Approves adjustments to inventory and receivable accounts

• Ensures that all manufacturer accounts including warranty claims, rebates, interest, protection, and co-op advertising accounts are current and accurate

• Assists in completion of annual review/audit

• Stays abreast of current factory incentives and codes deliveries on dealership computer system accordingly

• Reviews sales commission/chargeback detail reports

• Manages the payoff of vehicle floor plan and works with bank representatives

• Oversees collection of past due accounts

• Compiles information and prepares ad-hoc reports as requested by senior management

• Maintains a professional appearance

Qualifications:

• Two to four years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Dealership accounting, titling or warranty experience required; CDK experience preferred
• General knowledge of basic accounting functions
• Ability to balance and reconcile financial transactions
• Proficient in all Microsoft programs; computer software, internet proficiency and general mathematic skills
