Job Description Summary

The Defense & Systems Chief Compliance Officer (D&S CCO) provides executive-level domain expertise in risk management and local regulatory compliance, while demonstrating accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. This role reports directly to the GE Aerospace Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and serves as the senior compliance leader for the Defense & Systems division, with strong partnership and collaboration across the compliance leadership team, including the Divisional CCO for CES & International, central compliance, Legal, and enterprise risk leadership. This role leads the Defense & Systems compliance program strategy and oversight, manages complex issues within area of expertise, partners with horizontal risk focals to improve risk management practices in their division, including compliance communications, policies and procedures, training, compliance risk assessment, site compliance oversight and support, investigations support, and corrective actions, ensuring the program is effective in identifying and mitigating compliance risks.This role also provides oversight and line management for the Government Contracting Compliance Risk Focal, providing functional leadership and oversight, direction, prioritization and leadership support for government contracting compliance activities.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Leads the Defense & Systems compliance function, setting longer-term strategy and immediate priorities, driving a consistent approach and ensuring the program is effective in identifying and mitigating compliance risks.
  • Partners with Defense & Systems business leaders to sustain and grow a culture of integrity across division sites and organizations.
  • Leads an operating rhythm to engage business leaders and functional stakeholders, such as Divisional Compliance Review Boards.
  • Leads the compliance network of site and organization compliance ambassadors (including site compliance leaders and ombuds), to effectively help manage compliance risk at Divisional sites, promote open reporting and a superior integrity culture.
  • Provides guidance and coaching to the team in terms of compliance expertise and leadership development.
  • Partners with GE Aerospace regional and other business compliance leaders cross-division to design and implement compliance programs involving ~15 policy and risk areas, to ensure the early warning of new local regulations and practices impacting Aerospace program and the timely localization of the relevant policies and procedures for full  compliance.
  • Directly manages the Government Contracting Compliance Risk Focal, providing governance and strategic oversight of the risk area, and serving as executive escalation support for DCAA/DCMA engagements, audit readiness, and corrective actions.
  • Partners with GE Aerospace Risk Focal to review requests and transactions associated with high-risk policy areas or any major areas of concern.
  • Leads the compliance risk assessments and abatement actions for the Division, its functions,  and sites.
  • Partners with compliance investigations and/or Legal to ensure early detection of risks and gaps and the definition and execution of effective corrective actions.
  • Identifies, proposes, and executes improvements to the Division compliance program, policies, and processes to drive better efficiency and effectiveness, embracing FLIGHTDECK and continuous improvement.
  • Identifies, proposes and executes improvements to GE Aerospace's existing compliance program, policies and processes to drive better efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coaches, guides, and supports the division compliance network; guides selection of site/org compliance representatives; creates opportunities for talent development and help build a more diverse compliance network.
  • Interacts with key customers, joint ventures, and business partners to share best practices and provide training to support growth of integrity programs.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. 
  • At least 12 years of experience in a compliance, legal, risk management, audit or HR role.

Pay and Benefits:

  • The base pay range for this position is $225,000 - 325,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.  This role is also equity-eligible. This posting is expected to close on May 30th, 2026.
