Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Friendly Atmosphere

• Deliver attentive, friendly, and courteous service to every customer.
• Create a welcoming environment where customers feel valued and supported.
• Greet customers promptly and assist with product selection and special requests.
• Provide accurate information about products, ingredients, and dietary preferences, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
• Respond to customer questions and concerns professionally and positively.
• Help maintain a warm, community-focused atmosphere that encourages repeat business and customer satisfaction.

Product Knowledge

• Maintain knowledge of deli products and menu offerings.
• Continuously learn about new products and seasonal items.
• Answer customer questions accurately and confidently.

Food Preparation & Service

• Prepare juices, smoothies, pizzas, sandwiches, salads, and other deli items efficiently and accurately.
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and food safety standards.
• Organize and promote product samples and daily specials.
• Ensure timely service during busy periods while maintaining quality standards.

Merchandising & Presentation

• Keep displays clean, attractive, fully stocked, and properly signed.
• Maintain appealing product presentations throughout the department.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenish products as needed.
• Assist customers in self-serve areas, including salad bar, hot bar, soup station, and retail sections.

Operations & Production

• Receive and properly store deliveries following established procedures.
• Maintain organized workstations, backstock, and storage areas.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain department par levels.
• Prepare ingredients and products for daily operations.
• Support inventory control and shrink reduction efforts.
• Work with the Shift Coordinator to ensure efficient daily workflow.

Cleaning & Maintenance

• Perform cleaning and dishwashing duties as assigned.
• Maintain equipment in clean, safe working condition.
• Keep all preparation, service, and customer-facing areas sanitary and organized.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation requirements.

Teamwork

• Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, inventories, and special projects.
• Support and train team members as needed.
• Assist coworkers and member workers to ensure smooth department operations.
• Contribute to a positive, respectful, and collaborative workplace culture.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
