Delivery Driver- Class B

Position Summary: Class B or C Delivery Driver

The Driver will be responsible for safely transporting products, including panels, inverters, batteries, and related equipment, from our distribution center to various customer locations, including residential, commercial, and industrial sites. This role involves ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the products during transit. The driver will also be tasked with maintaining accurate delivery records, coordinating with warehouse staff for loading and unloading, and providing exceptional customer service during each delivery. Strong attention to safety, reliability, and customer communication is essential, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to support smooth delivery operations and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

    Safely operate company vehicles to deliver solar products to customers and job sites, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations and company safety standards.

   Load, secure, and transport solar products to ensure they are well-protected during transit, handling all materials with care to prevent damage and maintain product integrity.

  Follow designated delivery schedules and routes to optimize time and fuel efficiency, ensuring all deliveries are completed within the assigned timeframe and with minimal delays.

   Assist with the picking, packing, and preparation of orders for shipment, working closely with the warehouse team to ensure that all products are accurately prepared for delivery.

    Support the receiving and organization of inventory within the warehouse, ensuring proper stock levels, product labeling, and storage practices are consistently maintained.

      Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries by addressing any questions, concerns, or special requests from customers, ensuring a positive company image and customer satisfaction.

Education/Experience:

·         High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Language Ability:

·         Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Ability:

·         Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Compute rate, ratio and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs. 

Reasoning Ability:

·         Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
