SUMMARY

The Demand & Inventory Planner facilitates material planning and inventory management for strategic analysis and execution of current and future fulfillment plans through SIOP process. This role will also determine optimized inventory levels across the company to fulfill customer requirements and meet delivery targets on time.

Duties

  • Works proactively with functional teams such as sales, marketing, service, product management, purchasing and warehouses to identify variances for current and future demands through SIOP process.
  • Communicate demand gaps to minimize impact to inventory and identify actions for recovery or quantify exposure.
  • Understand SAP settings, purchasing process and generate reports to make informed and appropriate decisions on demand planning & inventory settings for forecast loading into SAP.
  • Ensures monthly SIOP calendar is maintained and scheduled/re-schedule accordingly. Lead/manage demand reviews to key stakeholders.
  • Work on SIOP process improvement initiatives such as forecasting tool implementation, improving forecast accuracy, service SIOP implementation and systems BOM level forecasting.
  • Monthly review of safety stock or reorder point levels. Use historical performance and future requirements to evaluate and identify items where stocking levels require adjustments. Set & maintain inventory targets in SAP for optimum service levels for finished goods and service centers.
  • Monthly Reporting for inventory for all sites to identify opportunities for sales and service to improve consumption.
  • Identify opportunities for inventory rebalancing between sites.
  • Train cross functional departments on SIOP.
  • Analyze data and problem-solve using tools such as excel macro or Power BI.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of supply chain principles and best practice.
  • Experience in demand forecasting and inventory planning.
  • Project Management skills/experience

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering or related fields.
  • 5 or more years of experience in supply chain, planning, product management, demand planning, inventory planning or related fields.
  • SAP knowledge preferred.

Certifications & Licenses:

  • Valid driver's license must be maintained throughout employment at an acceptable level meeting Busch's insurance standards
  • American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification: Preferred
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CPIM or CSCP): Preferred (or enrolled to obtain)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Reasoning Ability

Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practices is required. Normally receives general instruction for routine work, detailed instruction on new assignments.

TOOLS AND/OR EQUIPMENT

This position uses a computer extensively with demonstrated abilities in the use of Microsoft products as well as other common office type equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position may work in various environments including office, factory or home settings. Employees who are authorized to work from home are expected to comply with all company requirements for core work hours or in-person attendance at company meetings or events.

Targeted Compensation: The targeted compensation range for this position is $90,000.00 - $100,000.00, depending on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.
