Position Overview
As a Dental Assistant at BDG Dental Services, you'll play an essential role in delivering high-quality oral healthcare. You'll assist dentists with a variety of treatments, ensure a welcoming environment for patients, and maintain our high standards for patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist dentist or hygienist during treatments and escort patients to/from treatment rooms
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms following strict sanitation protocols
- Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatments
- Provide follow-up instructions and schedule future appointments
- Handle emergencies by following established protocols
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Participate in daily huddles, team meetings, and training workshops
- Manage inventory and supplies while limiting waste
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous dental assistant experience required
- Proficiency with dental practice management software preferred (Dentrix Enterprise)
- Certified Dental Assistant and CPR Certification preferred
