Learn more at www.fdhonline.com RESPONSIBILITIESPerform efficient and accurate procedures to help maintain doctor's schedule and patient flow
Assist the doctors with all dental procedures
Partner with the team to create an exceptional experience for each patient
Review patient chart prior to doctor arrival and log appropriate patient data during exam and treatment as well as transcribe doctor notes in patient chart
Verify patient health history and document appropriately in patient's chart
Discussing diagnosed treatment with the patient
Maintain sufficient inventory by ordering clinical supplies
Ensure the practice maintains sufficient inventory by ordering clinical supplies
Promote and market the company's services and doctors to patients as well as educate patients
Address patient's questions and/or concernsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSGraduation from an accredited dental assisting program with current CDA certification; or a combination of education and on-the-job training to demonstrate basic chairside dental assisting skills:Receiving and preparing patients for dental treatment
Assisting chairside
Taking x-raysMaking temporary crowns and pouring/trimming impressions
Make custom bleaching trays
Current x-ray, CPR, and nitrous certifications (or the ability to obtain upon hire)Demonstrated ability to work in a professional environment with direct patient contact. This includes demonstrating an outgoing and friendly demeanor, greeting patients with a smile as welcomed guests to the practice.Basic knowledge of dentistry and ability to educate patients regarding their dental health
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment. This includes learning quickly and accepting constructive feedback. Self-motivated and driven for team success.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS1 or more years expanded dental assisting experience, preferably in general dentistry
