Dental Assistant - Ames, IA
Location: Ames, IowaPosition Type: Full TimeSchedule: Approximately 36 patient hours per week
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Dental Assistant to join a busy, patient-focused dental clinic team in Ames, Iowa. This role will support clinical operations and provide excellent care to patients.
The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
Take and process dental X-rays (as certified)
Provide chairside support and patient education
Maintain accurate patient records
Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards
Help manage patient flow and clinic efficiency
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant preferred
Iowa Dental Assistant registration/certification (required, if applicable)
X-ray certification (preferred)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently
Professional, dependable, and patient-focused attitude
Schedule & Compensation
Approximately 36 patient hours per week
Daytime clinic hours (specific schedule to be discussed)
