Dental Assistant Red Lake, Minnesota Make a Difference in Native American Healthcare

Community Red Lake is home to the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians in northern Minnesota, surrounded by pristine lakes and vast forests. The community offers a peaceful, close-knit living environment with abundant outdoor recreation fishing on Upper and Lower Red Lake, hiking, snowmobiling, and access to the Chippewa National Forest. Bemidji, a vibrant college town with shopping, dining, and cultural attractions, is just 30 miles south.

Facility Red Lake Hospital (Indian Health Service) is a federally operated healthcare facility serving the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians. Located at 24760 Hospital Drive, Red Lake, MN 56671, the facility provides comprehensive medical, dental, pharmacy, and behavioral health services to the community.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during clinical procedures
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
Take dental radiographs as authorized
Maintain infection control protocols
Chart and document patient care in EHR
Prepare patients and provide oral health education

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting program (preferred)
Current dental assisting certification (if required by state)
Current BLS certification
Minimum 1 year of clinical dental assisting experience

Schedule Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM CST Federal holidays off
