Legacy Staffing has partnered with a World-Class Healthcare Provider in Cleveland, OH to hire an experienced Dental Assistant. This is a full-time, first-shift opportunity working Monday through Friday with a pay range of $19-23/hour based on experience and skill level. This role focuses on providing chairside support, performing diagnostic radiographs, assisting with patient care, maintaining clinical areas, and ensuring a high standard of care for patients, including medically complex populations.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists with patient assessments, examinations, and treatments
- Perform diagnostic radiographs and obtain alginate impressions for diagnostic and intra-oral appliances
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and supplies for procedures
- Sterilize, stock, maintain, and troubleshoot dental equipment and instruments
- Provide chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental practice management software
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and post-procedure care
- Schedule appointments and assist with administrative and clerical responsibilities as needed
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
- Support patient care in both clinical and operating room settings as required
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of Dental Assistant experience preferred.
- Must be state certified as a Dental Assistant Radiographer
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, procedures, and infection control practices
- Understanding of dental management for medically compromised patients, including cardiology, oncology, hematology, and infectious disease populations
- Strong communication, organizational, and patient service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Eaglesoft and/or Dentrix dental software
- Experience in pediatric dentistry
- Familiarity with 3D scanners and advanced imaging technology
- Experience managing patient records and scheduling
- Strong background in four-handed dentistry techniques
