Job Description

Job Summary: We are looking for a part time skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at Smiles 4 Kids in Boise ! The Dental Assistant will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment, and perform necessary administrative tasks.Qualifications:- High school diploma or GED required- Completion of a dental assistant program is a plus - X-ray certification preferred- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsResponsibilities:- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures- Sterilize dental instruments- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs- Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral healthcare- Take and develop dental x-rays- Maintain accurate patient records- Schedule patient appointments in an efficient and timely manner
