Job Description
Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team in our dental clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for patient treatments.
- Take X-rays as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in the electronic health record system, open dental experience is preferred.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Monitor vital signs and ensure patient comfort throughout their visit.
- Assist with front desk duties as needed.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization within the dental clinic to meet health standards.
- Inventory list check.
- Maintaining clean environment for patients.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is mandatory.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and vital signs is advantageous.
- Experience using dental software systems such as open dental is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients of all ages.
