Job Description
Dental Assistant
Location: Carrollton, TXEmployment Type: Full TimeSchedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Some SaturdaysPay: Hourly
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide excellent patient care, support the dentist and clinical team, and help ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for every patient.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures.
- Welcome and support patients throughout their appointments.
- Take and develop dental X-rays, as permitted by applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes.
- Sterilize instruments and follow infection-control procedures.
- Provide patients with post-treatment instructions.
- Help manage supplies, equipment, and operatory readiness.
- Support scheduling, patient communication, and other front-office tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred but not required.
- Dental assisting certification or relevant training preferred.
- Current CPR/BLS certification, or willingness to obtain it.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and infection-control standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
